What is an infinity cube?

An infinity cube is a hand fidget made of eight small cubes joined by hinges so that the whole shape folds through itself endlessly, one-handed and in silence. The same name is used for a different object, the infinity mirror cube, a lamp whose parallel mirrors multiply LEDs into tunnels of light. This collection has both.

Who is this collection for?

♾️

For restless hands at school or at the desk

From 8 upwards. An infinity cube folds and unfolds endlessly, silently, one-handed. The fidget that fits in a pencil case.

🎁

For a Secret Santa or a stocking

Small, metal or plastic, cheap enough to give without thinking and good enough to be used daily.

💡

For lovers of light and geometry

The infinity mirror cubes and lamps take the same idea into optics: mirrors that repeat a light forever.

How to choose an infinity cube

Decide between a fidget to carry and a lamp to display, then between plastic (light, cheap, for a pencil case) and metal (heavier, for a desk).

TypeBest forMaterialPrice
Plastic infinity cubeSchool, pencil case, ages 6+ABS, pinned hinges£14 to £18

Infinity mirror cubes and lampsBedrooms, gaming desksMirrors, LEDs, USB£35 to £50

The hinges are the weak point on cheap cubes; ours use pinned hinges rated for daily use. The mirror lamps are USB powered and cycle through colours by touch.

The science in two lines

The fidget works because eight cubes in a 2x2x2 block have exactly enough hinges to fold along two axes without ever locking: every fold brings the block back to a cube. The mirror lamp uses a half-silvered front mirror facing a full mirror, so each LED is reflected back and forth and appears to recede for ever.

Infinity Cube: your questions, answered

Eight small cubes hinged together so the whole thing folds through itself in an endless loop. Satisfying, quiet, pocket sized.
Metal for weight and durability at a desk; plastic for a child's pencil case. Both hinge the same way.
No. The mirror cube is a lamp: parallel mirrors multiply LEDs into tunnels of light. The infinity cube is a hand fidget. Both are in this collection.
From 6 for the plastic ones with supervision, from 8 without. The mirror lamps are for any age, with adult help for the DIY assembly.
The hinges are the weak point on cheap ones. Ours use pinned hinges rated for daily use; if one fails, our customer service replaces it.

Free UK delivery over £45 and 30 days to return it. More silent fidgets in our stress toys; more light tricks in unusual table lamps.
