The science in two lines
Borosilicate glass, the lab standard, expands very little with heat, which is why a beaker mug takes boiling coffee and a syphon can be heated over a flame. The syphon itself is a vacuum brewer: steam pressure pushes the water up, and when the heat is removed the vacuum below pulls the brewed coffee back down through the filter.

Is the syphon coffee maker hard to use?
No. Heat the water in the lower bowl, let it rise, stir in the coffee, remove the heat and it filters back down. The first brew takes ten minutes; after that it is routine.
Are the glasses dishwasher safe?
The borosilicate glass bulbs are, without their metal caps. Check each product page: the chain bottle holder and the floating mug sculpture are wipe-clean decor pieces, not tableware.
Does the anti gravity bottle holder really hold a full bottle?
Yes, a standard 750 ml bottle. The chain is welded rigid and balances the weight through the base. It also holds an empty bottle for display.
What size are the light bulb glasses?
Three volumes: 300, 400 and 500 ml, with a reusable straw and a screw cap. Dimensions are on the product page.
Can I use the syphon for tea or herbs?
Yes. The vacuum method infuses anything: loose leaf tea, fresh mint, spices. Rinse the cloth filter well between very different brews.
