Terms of Sale
1. Scope
These terms govern every order placed on Science‑Gifts.co.uk by consumers located in the United Kingdom.
2. Products & Prices
Prices are shown in pounds sterling. Import VAT and customs duties may be charged by the carrier on delivery. Shipping costs are displayed before checkout confirmation.
3. Order Process
• Add items to cart → Checkout form → Secure payment (Stripe / PayPal / Apple Pay) → E‑mail confirmation.
• The contract is formed when we e‑mail the confirmation.
• We may refuse or cancel an order (fraud suspicion, stock error, etc.) with full refund.
4. Payment
Payment is taken immediately in GBP via encrypted SSL connection. Card data are handled only by the payment gateway.
5. Delivery
Origin warehouse: Shenzhen CN / Albuquerque US (depending on stock).
Carrier & indicative transit to UK: 7‑15 working days (tracked).
Risk passes on delivery to the consumer.

Right to Cancel
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you may cancel your purchase within 14 days after the day you (or a nominee) receive the goods.
How to cancel
Send an e‑mail to contact@science‑gifts.co.uk or post the standard form below. We will acknowledge receipt without delay.
Effects of cancellation
• Return the goods within 14 days of your notice.
• We reimburse the price paid plus our standard outbound shipping within 14 days of receiving the goods (or proof of return).
• Return shipping costs are borne by you.

1. Legal guarantee of conformity
All products are covered by a 2‑year guarantee under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If an item is faulty or not as described, we will repair, replace or refund it at no extra cost.
2. Limitation
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death, personal injury, fraud, gross negligence, or statutory rights. We are not liable for indirect losses (loss of profit, data) except where prohibited by law.

Prighter Ltd is our appointed representative under Article 27 UK GDPR. It serves as the first‑line contact for the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) and for any UK data subjects wishing to exercise their privacy rights.
- Processing activity : Prighter receives and manages Data Subject Requests (DSR) through its dedicated platform. The data a requester submits (identity, contact details, nature of the request) are stored on servers operated by Hetzner Online GmbH and then transmitted securely to ELYSIUM COMPANY LLC.
- Role : When providing advice and support, Prighter acts as an independent controller; when operating the technical infrastructure and DSR tool, it acts as our processor on the basis of a Data Processing Agreement (DPA).

5.3 What data we collect

Data encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2) and at rest (AES‑256). PCI‑DSS compliant.
5.7 Cookies
Handled under the separate Cookie Policy below. Consent banner appears on first visit.
