The science in two lines
The illusion lamps are a flat acrylic sheet engraved with a pattern; LEDs at the edge send light along the sheet and it escapes only at the engraved lines, so a 2D plate reads as a 3D object. The balance lamp is a simple circuit closed by a magnet: bring the beads together and the current flows.

How are the lamps powered?
Most are USB powered with a cable included, so they run from a plug adapter, a laptop or a power bank. A few larger models are mains powered; each page states which.
Do they give enough light to read by?
The balance lamps and the crystal lamps, yes: warm, soft, enough for a bedside book. The illusion and infinity lamps are mood lights rather than task lights.
How does the magnetic balance lamp switch on?
Two magnetic beads hang inside the frame. Bring them together and they snap, closing the circuit and switching the light on. Pull them apart to switch off.
Are the crystal lamps real stone?
Yes. The amethyst and selenite lamps use genuine crystals on a wooden or ABS base. Every piece differs slightly.
Can I change the colour?
The infinity dodecahedron and the 3D illusion lamps offer several colours by remote or touch. The crystal and balance lamps are warm white.
