Slow Dance Picture Frame : the art of slow motion
The charm of the Slow Motion frame
Imagine an object that elegantly combines science, art and technology to create a truly unique visual experience. The Slow Motion Frame is that object. Measuring 28 cm x 23 cm x 4.5 cm, this beautifully crafted pinewood frame houses stroboscopic technology which, by illuminating a feather or any other light object you place in it, gives the illusion of movement in slow motion. The Slow Motion Frame is more than just a wooden frame. It attracts and holds attention, transforming any light object into a soothing dance that seems to defy the laws of physics. The integrated LEDs add an extra dimension to the illusion, creating a mesmerizing spectacle that catches the eye. Karen Aldridge –
Lovely idea and the feather effect is quite mesmerising once it’s running, but the frame is noticeably smaller than I’d pictured from the photos. It’s more of a desk ornament than a statement piece for the shelf. Took nine days to arrive too, which was longer than the page suggested. Does what it says, just go in knowing the size.
Tom Hargreaves –
Bought this for my 9 year old after he’d been pestering me about ‘the science of illusions’ for weeks. He sat in front of it for a good twenty minutes with his mouth open, then dragged his sister in to see. Apparently the LEDs flash so quickly that the feather looks like it’s moving in slow motion, which he explained to me in great detail over tea. Sits on his bedside table now and it’s the last thing he looks at before lights out.
Margaret Doyle –
Got this for my grandson’s birthday. He grinned from ear to ear when he switched it on. Lovely little thing.
Priya Shah –
bit pricey for the size, if I’m honest, but it looks cracking in a dimly lit room and visitors always ask what it is. Setup took about two minutes. Would’ve liked a slightly longer cable.
Dave Pritchard –
Spot on. Third thing I’ve ordered from here and never had a duff one yet. This sits on my desk and I catch myself staring at it when I should be working.
Anne Doyle –
got the Slow Dance Picture Frame for my granddaughter. She was mesmerised! Couldn’t stop staring at the delicate movement, lights off, cosy evening. A hit!
Michael Harrison –
A peculiar wonder! The Slow Dance Picture Frame is exquisite. The feather seems to float, defying all logic. Friends blown away when they visit. Love the calming effect it has in my study room.
