Infinity Mirror Cube: the luminous void
Futuristic illumination: the infinity mirror lamp
You switch on the light and suddenly the wall recedes for miles. That is the experience this infinity mirror lampoffers. It uses a clever trick: parallel mirrors, one slightly translucent, the other fully reflective. This creates a dizzying depth, a well of light where every LED seems to multiply. The ABS plastic is sturdy and will stand up to small mishaps. The colours can vibrate intensely, or blend into a calming gradient, depending on your mood. A bit like having a portal on your desk.
An infinity mirror effect for all ages
You sometimes wonder whether this kind of object will just look nice for a week before gathering dust. But theinfinity mirror effectnever gets old. It is an open door to curiosity, perfect for a budding young scientist or an adult who likes gadgets out of the ordinary. Give this light cube, and watch people’s reaction. Their eyes widen, they lean in, try to understand the mystery. It is light, easy to move. It can even serve as a discreet stand to display a figurine (yes, try it). A friend told me he uses it to calm his cat, fascinated by the lights… Gives you ideas, doesn’t it?

Looks lovely once it’s switched on, but it’s a fair bit smaller than I’d pictured from the photos. About the size of a large coaster with height. The USB cable is also very short so it has to sit right next to a socket or my laptop. Works fine, just not quite what I expected.

Bought this for my 9 year old who’s been obsessed with optics since a school science week. She sat staring into it for ten minutes, then ran off to fetch her torch and two hand mirrors to try and copy the effect. I explained that the light bounces back and forth between one fully reflective mirror and a half-silvered one at the front, losing a tiny bit of brightness each time, which is why the tunnel fades into the distance. She’s now telling everyone at school. It sits on her bookshelf and the colour changing mode is lovely in the dark.

Got this for my grandson’s birthday. He grinned from ear to ear and hasn’t put it down. Lovely little thing.

really pleased with it on my desk, the depth effect is properly mesmerising. Only reason it’s not five stars is that the front glass picks up fingerprints in seconds, so I’m forever wiping it with a cloth. Otherwise a cracking little gift to myself.

Third thing I’ve ordered from here and it’s another good one. Arrived quicker than I thought, postie had it on my doorstep in two days. Light effect is smashing and the remote is handy. Bit pricey for the size if I’m honest, but I’d still buy it again.

bought this for my grandson’s 9th birthday and he hasn’t put it down since. He sat staring into it for ages, then ran off to fetch his mum to show her the endless tunnel of lights. Spot on, and it’s pride of place on his bedroom shelf now.
