Bought this for my 8 year old who is obsessed with anything that moves or pours. He sat on the sofa watching the sand trickle down and build little dunes for a good twenty minutes without saying a word, which is unheard of in our house. Now he keeps flipping it over and announcing what the new landscape looks like. It’s sitting on his bookshelf and gets turned at least ten times a day.

Got this for my grandson’s birthday. His little face lit up when he saw the sand moving. Lovely thing, and he’s had it on his windowsill ever since.
Callum Reid –
Really pleased with it. The sand finds its own path through the gaps so you get a different dune pattern every flip, which is oddly hypnotic. Only reason it’s not five stars is that it’s a touch smaller than the photos made me think. Still looks smart on my desk though.

third thing I’ve ordered from here and another good one, to be fair. Arrived well wrapped, looks lovely on the mantelpiece and the other half keeps fiddling with it. Takes a few goes to get the sand to settle nicely, but that’s part of the fun I suppose.

Spot on. Bought it as a desk ornament and it’s become the thing everyone picks up when they visit. The sand drops through a narrow gap and piles up in layers, so it looks like a tiny desert forming in front of you. Brilliant gift idea too, I’m already eyeing up a second one for my brother.

bought this for my grandson Alfie who’s seven and he was glued to it for a good twenty minutes before he’d even open his other presents. Keeps asking me to turn it over so he can watch the dunes build again. Spot on.
Daniel Whitcombe –
Brilliant. The sand trickles down through the circular frame and settles into different dune shapes each time, so no two turns look quite the same. It’s sitting on my bookshelf now and I catch myself watching it when I should be working. Chuffed with it.
