Bought this for my 9-year-old son after he saw one at the Science Museum and wouldn’t stop going on about it. He put a 50p coin in the bottom and then spent a good five minutes trying to pick up the ‘coin’ floating at the top. His face when his fingers went straight through it was priceless! Now he’s making his little sister try it with every bit of tat he can find around the house. Sturdy too, it’s survived being carried about in a rucksack.

got this for our grandson’s birthday. He grinned from ear to ear and hasn’t put it down. Lovely thing.
Priya Nair –
Two parabolic mirrors facing each other, and the object sits in the bottom one so the light bounces out through the hole on top and forms an image that looks real. Clever stuff, and it works properly. Knocked a star off for the fact it’s a proper dust magnet, so you’ll want a microfibre cloth handy.

Another good buy from here, third thing I’ve ordered now. Mirascope arrived well wrapped and works just as the pictures show. Spot on for the price, though it’s a touch smaller than I’d pictured in my head.

Chuffed to bits with the 3D Mirascope. My grandson was gobsmacked when he first saw the hologram effect; kept him entertained for hours. A cracking gift for inquisitive minds!
Emily Brown –
3D Mirascope. Brilliant gadget! Place an object inside and it seems to appear above the surface. The whole illusion is crafted through cleverly shaped mirrors. Fascinating piece of kit that looks magical.
