Cracking bit of kit. The Galileo part works on the simple principle that each glass bulb has a slightly different density, and the liquid changes density with temperature, so they rise and fall one by one. You read the lowest floating bulb to get the temperature. The storm glass crystals do their own thing alongside, which is oddly hypnotic. Spot on.
