Cube itself is fine, turns well enough once you’ve loosened it a touch. My gripe is the instructions, which are a tiny folded leaflet with diagrams so small I needed my reading glasses and a magnifying glass. Ended up watching videos online instead. Would have been nice to have a proper guide in the box given how much trickier this is than the 3×3.

Solid puzzle and properly fiddly in a good way. Took me a few evenings to get the hang of the centres and edges. A bit stiff out of the box, though a spot of silicone lube sorted that. Chuffed with it.

What gets me about the 4×4 is that there’s no fixed centre piece to lean on like with the 3×3, so you have to build the centres yourself and then pair up all the edges. It’s a proper brain workout. The internal mechanism feels well made, with no popping or catching even when I’m turning quickly. Brilliant bit of kit and I’ve already ordered one for my brother.
