Pretty chuffed with the lamp. It looks brilliant when lit. Would’ve liked a bit more info about how it works, but pleased with it overall.
Liam Turner –
Have bought from science-gifts.co.uk before, and they never disappoint. The Mars lamp adds a nice touch to my study. wish the cord was slightly longer, but that’s just me being picky.

Got this for my son’s birthday. His face was priceless when it started floating! Such a clever piece of kit, he’s been showing it off to all his friends.
Tom Harris –
The lamp is alright but arrived two days late. Was meant to be a birthday gift, so a bit let down there. But it does look nice in the room.
Margaret Lewis –
bought this for my grandson. He grinned ear to ear when it started hovering. He loves everything space-related, so it was a perfect gift.

this lamp is a brilliant blend of art and science! Couldn’t believe my eyes when the Mars model started floating. My kids are fascinated by it too. Worth every penny.
Margaret Hollingsworth –
bought this for my grandson Alfie who’s obsessed with space. his eyes went wide as saucers when it floated up off the base and he’s not stopped telling everyone at school about his “magic Mars”. Cracking gift, and the postie got it here in two days.
Daniel Prickett –
Spot on. Magnets in the base hold the globe in mid-air, and it spins slowly while the surface glows a warm red-orange, which looks properly realistic on my bookshelf. Took me a few goes to get the balance right when setting it up, but once it settled I was chuffed to bits. Still catches me out when I walk past it in the evening.
