Bought this for a rainy Sunday with my niece and it kept us both quiet for a good hour, which is saying something. The crystals started creeping up the branches faster than I expected. Only reservation is that the colour is a touch paler than the photo, but still pretty on the windowsill.

My 8-year-old was glued to it. Kept asking ‘is it growing yet?’ every ten minutes, then went completely silent when the first sparkly bits appeared on the branches. Apparently the liquid creeps up the paper by capillary action and then evaporates, leaving the crystals behind, so we ended up reading about that at bedtime. Proper science and he didn’t even notice he was learning. He’s already asked for another one.
