Bought this for my nephew’s birthday and he had it built in about 40 minutes with only a little help from his dad. Runs nicely on a sunny windowsill. Wouldn’t say it’s the speediest rover on the planet, but that’s solar power for you.
Callum Reid –
My daughter (8) tore the box open the second it arrived and refused to stop until the wheels were on. The moment it trundled across the patio in the sunshine she shrieked, then spent the next hour chasing it round the garden and asking why it slowed down when a cloud came over. Cue a surprisingly good chat about how the solar panel feeds the little motor. Brilliant fun and she’s learnt something without realising.

My grandson was chuffed to bits with his solar moon rover kit. Did it all himself, felt like a proper little engineer. Postie arrived with it just before his birthday party. Perfect timing!

Cracking bit of kit this is! Solar-powered motor works a treat, the rover rolls beautifully over my garden path. Assembled it on a Sunday afternoon, quite a clever learning experience about renewable energy. Recommend it to anyone curious about science and engineering.
