Looks lovely on my desk at work and the click-clack is oddly soothing during a dull conference call. The wood is a slightly lighter shade than the photos suggest, but that’s me being picky. Spheres needed a little nudge to line up when it arrived, took about two minutes.

back for my third purchase from here and again no real complaints. Arrived well wrapped, swings nicely for a good thirty seconds or so before it fizzles out. Would have liked it a touch heavier but it’s perfectly sturdy on the shelf.
Gemma Richardson –
Bought this for my nine-year-old who is obsessed with how things work, and he’s barely left it alone since Saturday. He lifted two balls, then three, then spent ages explaining to his dad why the same number swing out the other side. Cue lots of ‘but why does it do that?’ and a quick chat about momentum over tea. Sits on the bookcase now and gets a go every time someone walks past.

Solid little thing. Spot on for the price, though the base has a few tiny marks from the factory I noticed straight away. Doesn’t affect how it works.
Sophie Danvers –
Nice enough cradle but it’s a fair bit smaller than I’d pictured from the photos, more of a pocket-sized desk toy than a centrepiece. Swings fine and the finish is decent, I just wish the dimensions had been clearer on the page. Fine as a stocking filler, less so as the gift I’d intended.

Got this beautiful wooden Newton’s cradle for my grandson. He was completely mesmerised by the way the spheres danced back and forth. Quite chuffed with the quality. A fab gift for keeping curious minds engaged!

Had my eye on this for ages, finally treated myself. It’s wonderfully soothing to watch, almost meditative. The craftsmanship is spot on, with a lovely wooden base that adds a touch of elegance to my desk. Perfect for a bit of midday escapism.
