Graham Pettifer –
Looks lovely on the windowsill but the box arrived a good week after the date I was given, and no real explanation why. The instructions are a tiny folded leaflet that doesn’t say much about how to read the crystals, so I ended up googling it. Fine now it’s here, just a bit of a faff getting started.
Priya Nair –
bought this for my dad’s birthday as he’s always checking the sky before he heads out with the dog. Looks smart on his bookshelf and the crystals do change, feathery on cloudy days and clearer when it’s bright. Not going to replace the BBC forecast, but it’s a lovely talking point.
Steve Brannigan –
Third thing I’ve ordered from here and the packing was decent again. Glass feels solid, and it sits nicely on the mantelpiece. Slightly smaller than I pictured, mind, but no complaints really.
Margaret Ashworth –
Got this for my grandson Oliver, he’s ten and mad on weather. His face lit up when he opened it and he’s checked it every morning since. Lovely little thing.
Callum Rees –
Does what it says. The liquid inside reacts to changes in air pressure and temperature, so the crystals grow and dissolve through the day, which is oddly hypnotic to watch. Took a day or two to settle after unboxing, so don’t panic if it looks cloudy at first. Knocked a star off only because it’s a bit pricey for what it is.
Emily Thompson –
Gift for my grandson and he was chuffed to bits! He loves watching the crystals change with the weather, and it’s taken pride of place on his windowsill.
David Brown –
Quite a clever bit of kit! Fascinating to see how the crystals react to changes in weather. It looks quite striking, too, which is a bonus as it sits in my study. Certainly adds a touch of intrigue and elegance.

Very pretty
