Nice little desk toy but it’s a fair bit smaller than I’d pictured from the photos. The balls also needed a bit of fiddling to line up before they’d swing properly. Works fine now, just check the dimensions before ordering.
Priya Nair –
bought this for my desk at work and it’s already been picked up by half the office. Clicks away nicely and the finish looks smart. Only niggle is that it loses momentum a touch quicker than I expected, but for the price I’m happy.

Third thing I’ve ordered from here and it’s another decent one. Arrived quickly, well wrapped. Does the job. Would have liked a slightly heavier base, it slides about a bit if you knock the desk.

Got this to help explain momentum to my Year 9 class and it’s worked a treat on the front desk. The students love guessing what happens when you lift two balls. Small, so the back row can’t see it properly, hence four stars.

Bought for my grandson Alfie’s birthday. He hasn’t put it down and his smile when it clicked was lovely to see. Brilliant little gift.
Rob Kelleher –
My daughter, 7, was glued to it from the second she opened the box. She kept lifting one ball, then two, then three, and shouting out what she thought would happen on the other side. I had a go at explaining how the energy passes through the middle balls without them really moving, and she actually listened. Lives on the kitchen table now, much to my wife’s amusement. Cracking little thing.
Alice Thompson –
My granddaughter was quite taken with the Mini Newton’s Cradle. Couldn’t stop playing with it, absolutely mesmerised by the swinging balls. Even started asking questions about how it works, which was a lovely bonus.

This little gadget keeps me entertained at my desk. Surprisingly compact and creates a brilliant visual on how momentum works. The perpetual motion is fascinating to watch, especially seeing colleagues get intrigued too.
